Jayanthi Pandurangan
Dietitian
Our dietitians have extensive experience across a wide range of clinical conditions, with a strong understanding of the relationship between diet and disease. Their areas of expertise include weight management, Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and dyslipidaemia, malnutrition and underweight management, irritable bowel syndrome (including low FODMAP diets), renal nutrition, and oncology nutrition (including dietary strategies for managing nutrition-impact symptoms and stoma care). They also provide guidance on texture-modified diets, vegan and gluten-free diets, and general healthy eating for all age groups.
In paediatric nutrition, our key areas of focus include:
• Breastfeeding support and maternal nutrition
• Coeliac disease
• Failure to thrive and poor growth
• Fussy eating
• Food intolerances
• Gastrointestinal conditions (diarrhoea, constipation, colic, reflux, IBS)
• General nutrition advice for infants, children, adolescents, and adults
Our approach is education- and outcomes-focused. We ensure that every client is thoroughly assessed and regularly reviewed to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed. We aim to empower and motivate individuals to achieve their health goals, providing personalised nutrition advice that fits their lifestyle and family needs.
Some of the evidence-based practices I use are CBT, DBT, SFBT, Schema, Trauma-informed therapy, including accredited training in EMDR and ED. I provide formal ADHD and ASD assessments and reports for children, adolescents, and adults.
Outside of my professional work, I value time with my family, especially the really little ones, gardening, and connection with friends and community, which continue to inspire my belief in resilience, compassion, kindness, and hope.
